| - This is a real review and I cannot believe this actually happened. My fiancé and I first dealt with Men's Wearhouse at the Arroyo Parkway store in Las Vegas. Jennifer the store manager was amazing and got us a wonderful tux for $89.95 plus alterations and taxes brought it to $170. I am getting married on the 22nd you see and it is a big day for us. It was an internet price she honored in store. We decided about a week or two later to include my fiance's 16 year old son and now he needs a tux as well. We decided to go into the store that was a lot closer to us, on Stephanie Street in Henderson. I work in sales myself and thought it would be easy to simply get him the same deal we got the fiance. Fair enough, I think.
The moment we walked in, the demeanor of the man that approached us was nothing like Jennifer at the other store. A big fake smile, his name is Tony. I have read about his nastiness on other reviews here too, I want to mention. I told him we needed another tux and described the deal she gave us. He said he needed to see it online, as she did. I found a similar one. I couldn't see the same tuxedo on there and he said he would need the receipt. I didn't have it so then he said he would look us up, which he did. I said, "You see the price, $89.95?" He suddenly got very blustery and sort of lost control, "Well, I have to see it online. There's no way we can do that. She shouldn't have either. She is in trouble. That's just too much of a discount, I just have to see it online". I explained that the exact one online was not in store, that she did a deal on another suit. I tried to point out that he had all the info in front of him.
This person was on a power trip and DID NOT want to give one inch. No discussion of, "we will see what we can do" etc.. Nothing. Just digging in his heels and thumping his chest. I asked to see his manager. He started boasting that "I am the Senior Store Manager and I am telling you" etc etc. I tried to say I believed the good discounts are because they make the money back with the expensive alterations (this is true, I worked in auto sales for years and we do similar) but at this point, I said to him I was over it, and I am going to go see her. He started ranting that he was going to call her right now before we could get there. I assume to prevent us getting our deal again off her. Why in God's name was it so important for this individual to ruin our happy day? He is horrible at customer service. I said, "You're customer service sucks". It is TRUE. If I acted like him I would have starved in car sales but I was on of the best. He didn't like that and snidely called after me as I was walking out, "have a nice Christmas" very sarcastically.
PLEASE KNOW I AM A PAYING CUSTOMER. I still need a tuxedo!!!! I said, "Mine will be better than yours". He yelled, "That's not very nice and as I was out the door, outside THE STORE the next thing he came outside after me and I was nervous and wondering what the hell is happening" Why is he outside the store following me? He followed me ranting and I said, "Go away you stuffed shirt!"
He went NUTS. He went inside and then as I kept walking to the car, he then ran back our after me and came up and got right in my face and said, "well, you dress like you're 19 years old you fucking little bitch!" He towered over me trying to intimidate me.
WHAT. THE HELL. WOW. Please again see THIS WAS OUTSIDE THE STORE. OUTSIDE. I will not lie, that comment made me freak out a bit. I went back in after him and yelled to customers what happened. They left with me, they could see he was out of his mind and he followed me out there to harass me. One man comforted me as it was terrifying. I am a paying customer with money to spend and this person is a nut job. My future stepson son saw it all and said, "What is wrong with that guy, he scares me". Right before my wedding, this trauma.
There is no coaching for a person like this. He is a liability and has no business working with the public. I honestly think he would have hit me if he could. I am a 5'7, 140 pound blond, well dressed female simply trying to get a tuxedo for my wedding day. Horrific. I can't believe this.
I called Jennifer and she was horrified. Her assistant who answered knew exactly who I was talking about when I described this. The sound in her voice was like, "OOOOH, you mean TONY". Staff know when they work for a pig. Jennifer has offered to assist me, we will see, our wedding is round the corner!!
I have called corporate and also penned a letter to them to nail this creep.
