The funny thing about places like this is I've probably driven past this place for years without noticing it. Last weekend, however, I was skating at Open Streets (where they close down the road to cars and open it to cyclists, walkers, etc.) and spotted the kitchen table of my dreams on the sidewalk outside Zerrer's.
It was a beautiful 1950's Formica and chrome dinette table with a hint of yellow.
I followed up with John, the owner, who's super friendly. He gave me a good deal since it was in need of some elbow grease. My partner and I walked through his shop and were impressed with the selection and varying price points of items.
John said he gets new inventory each week. Between the prices, the selection and the warm, welcoming environment, I know we'll be back.
