  • Lang Van - I heard the absolute most about this restaurant. The absolute most. its on several lists as being a great lunch spot and its cuisine is supposed to be delicious. Disclaimer- I am from NYC and our Asian food is nearly unparalleled outside of California and Asian countries. ( proud NJ/NYC foodie) However - I was not impressed with the food at all. It was super basic. The flavors weren't large or bright and the herbs didn't work to brighten any spices that may or may not have been cooked in the food. Honestly the service was the highlight. The staff appeared to be very knowledgeable about the patrons and many seemed to have lasting ling term relationships. Great. The location is a little shady and the outside is not pretty at all. But I want delicious Vietnamese Food that makes me feel like I am eating something fresh and authentic.. not white washed bland Asian food. I would go again... but I would not take anyone here...
