  • Never again!! Ordered a cake for a child's birthday. People who took the phone order were rude and condescending. Waited 15-20 minutes on Saturday to pick up cake order. When they finally brought out the cake, the birthday number was wrong. They looked at me like it was my fault until they finally looked at the order form and saw that I in fact gave the correct information, and that the decorator made a mistake. There was no apology given and I had to wait an additional 10-15 minutes for them to fix it. While I was waiting for the cake to be fixed, I overheard the workers saying to each other that there had been tons of mistakes that day. Someone even came in to pick up a special ordered fondant cake and they couldn't find the cake. They told the customer (who was frantically calling his wife to tell him the cake was missing) that they wouldn't be able to make another fondant cake for that day, so he was basically out of luck for a fondant cake. After about 5-10 minutes, one of the workers yelled out that they found it. Turns out they put the wrong order form in the wrong box. There was basically no apology given to this gentleman. Finally my cake was fixed up and ready (after waiting 30 minutes total). Was not once apologized to or offered anything to compensate me for wasting my time. Clearly the staff have been trained her to not be friendly or go the extra mile to satisfy a customer. Says a lot about the management/owner. To add insult to injury, the cake was dried out tasting (first time I've experienced this), and it was unanimous that a Loblaw cake would have been 100000 times better. Lesson learned.
