I have been dying to go here and finally got the chance to last night for restaurant week. I thought overall the food was good, but it definitely wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Our services was slow too, but we didn't mind as we had a larger group and were enjoying our conversation.
For the starter I had fried green tomatoes. I have never had fried green tomatoes before so I have nothing to compare it to. The tomatoes were hard but tasty and the breading on it wasn't too much. It was definitely lacking in salt and I am not one to ever put salt on my food. My girlfriend that also order the tomatoes and has had them a lot said they weren't that great.
My entree was crab cakes and mac and cheese. The crab cakes were good, but again, I have had better. I did like that they served it with a mustard sauce instead of the remoulde. The mac and cheese was great. It had a few crunchy pieces which I always love and the cheese made it nice and thick.
The dessert was by far my favorite. It was a piece of chocolate mousse cake with raspberries. There is nothing better in this world than chocolate and raspberries.
Overall it was OK food and I may go back again to give it a second chance.
