I was having a sushi craving attack and saw that people had given this place great reviews, so we decided to give it a shot.
That they were understaffed was a huge understatement. Kevin, our server, (the nicest guy you could hope to meet) was getting chewed out by tables right and left because he was the only one in the restaurant and they weren't getting things on time or fast enough. I hate to see a server blamed for things that are out of their control, such as the management's decision not to bring in enough staff in that night.
The food? Amazing! The only disappointment was that the sashimi I ordered was still partially frozen. We also got charged for an item that never made it. They made up for it by bringing us some decent shrimp dumplings.
Kevin made the experience very pleasant even though things didn't run as smoothly as they could. If we go back again, we'll ask to be seated in his section.
The verdict: the roll and sashimi we got that wasn't frozen were excellent! Everyone can have a bad day, so I think we'll try it again and hopefully update the star rating.
