I've been a couple times, about five years apart. I was just there last week and it was just as good as I remember. The atmosphere is a dimmer lit dining room so there's definitely a laid back, chill vibe.
Their bruschetta is something every table should get to start. They have eight different types and the four my table ordered were smoked salmon, prosciutto, beef tenderloin and mediterranean. All come on crustini bread and are very good. My favorite was the smoked salmon.
For the shared items, we ordered a lot which is why I love tapas restaurants.
Korean Short Rib Potstickers: The dumplings were average. The sauces though are great. The wasabi sauce was creamy with just enough kick to not make that sinus clearing face (if you have sushi with wasabi, you know what I'm talking about).
Risotto: This was a bacon and parmesean risotto. It was really good. The rice was cooked well and not overdone. The cheese and bacon together with it was smokey, creamy and cheesy. Who doesn't like carbs, cheese and bacon?
Salt Cod Fritters: I like cod for fish fries. I wasn't sure how it would be in a fritter. It was amazing! I highly recommend this even if you do not like fish. The breading on the outside was crispy without being oily. It wasn't overpowering fish and the lemon saffron aioli goes so well with it.
Overall, you'll find something you like here if you like good food. The tables around me had great looking flatbreads as well. Their menu has so many well done items you could come back ten times and not have the same meal twice!
For all of the people staying in Madison for training at a local EMR juggernaut, this is totally worth coming to even if you have to pay for your own cab ride like I did! :)
