I run a digital marketing and writing company from home. When I called Cox residential and tried to hook up 200 speed internet I was told that cox residential didn't offer anything more than 100 speed. Having just moved to Vegas I did not know this was a lie.
I was told to call Cox business. I did and I was quoted $225 a month for 200 speed internet. I was told that th services i.e. (25 virus protections and email) would make up for the extra cost.
Being that my company is a growing company I decided this was true. I got Cox Business solely because of the extra services provided with it not for just the Internet. After it got hooked up I called my sales rep (Robert) when told me it might take a few weeks for me to receive the emails and virus protection.
After a month went by and I did not relieve the services I stopped payment because I was not receiving services I was paying for.
I could tasted cox to try and make the aware of this but I kept being transferred to a line that hung up on me.
Finally months after I started services Cox made the services a ailble to me or so I thought.
I tried using them and I got error messages.
I tried calling cox again and got an unsympathetic person who said they would transfer me to business cox which again hung up on me.
Adding insult to injury within a day after uploading the services that didn't work cox disconnected my business Internet.
I called on 8/30 because I was told there is 24 hour service and found out it's a 24 hour automated service and cox business is never available.
I was told I would be receiving a call from a supervisor in 48 to 72 business hours despite the fact I told the representative that
I was losing profits.
10 days has passed so now it's been over 240 hours and A supervisor still hasn't contacted me. At this point Cox is in breach of their own contract. I just wanted to post this in case you have had a similar problem. You do not owe Cox if they are not providing the services including customer service as it is spelled out on their website, I write business contracts so this is something I understand.
