Ate here with my family last night, as my birthday dinner.....i have to say, all 4 of us were ASTOUNDED at how miserable this buffet was!! Mandalay bay is the first big Hotel on the LAS VEGAS STRIP! not some little rinky dink hotel in the middle of no where, well thats exactly how this buffet represents its hotel! the decor and atmosphere is extreeeeemely dated! it felt like we were back in the 70s. the chairs were all ripped and cracked...but the food.....the food was a sad sad display of what our great city of Las Vegas is! the selection itself is measly...the things offered are also very dated, (a lot of the food even looked very old) the pizza bar had pizza that looked like it was microwaved, 3 days ago....the pasta sauce was straight out of a can, tasting.....and .it really bothered me too that for being a billion dollar business, the owners of the hotel wont dish out money to get new little name cards for the food items. Most of the name cards were damaged and the names half scratched out....the salad bar was a poor excuse for a salad bar..old wilty cheap lettuce...no mixed greens....
..over all we were blown away! at spending almost $40 a person this place should not be in Mandalay bay! it deserves to be in some seedy hotel on boulder highway, at best! the owners of Mandalay need to get it together and update this place and hire decent chefs!!
