| - If you are looking for hipster Las Vegas, this is where you will find it.
Just a short stroll from Fremont Street where the old Las Vegas is, is a park that is made completely from old shipping containers. You know you've arrived when you see a large metal praying mantis guarding the entrance.
Everyone knows it's HOT in Vegas right? Shipping containers are made of metal. So, it feels extra hot in this park. But, I think because it looks so run down, compared to the glitz on the Strip that everyone imagines when they think of Vegas, there is a cool hipster vibe to this place.
In this little complex - there are restaurants (many that are on Eater's recommend list), little shops, a fake grass area where you can play with a life sized connect four, jenga, or just run around, and also a kids playing area.
There are misting stations all around - absolutely necessary as it is so HOT in here, but all in all really fun to check out and walk around.
I probably would not go out of my way to come here, but if you are already checking out Fremont Street, then you might as well hit up this spot too and check it off your list.
