  • I haven't been here in years, but 1) the mission is great - the place supports getting down and out people back to work and it works! 2) The fried chicken!!! OMG!!! 3) very good location, right in the heart of uptown. The fried chicken sandwich will blow your mind. I mean, it is literally a giant fried chicken breast inside a sandwich with slaw and such.. I dare you to eat all that - I can't, but it's awesome. I really like the chicken salad sandwich too. And of course you can just be basic in the best way and order the fried chicken with some sides. The sides are classic southern fare. But they are SOOOOO yummy! Collard greens, butter beans, cream corn. Like Mama makes, if Mama were a southern raised cook who knew how to make food taste sinful when it is something as innocent as beans or corn.
