| - Let me just start this by saying I have lived and traveled all over the country and I have never seen such a poorly run apartment complex in my life! My fiancé' and I have been residents here for a year and a half and have watched this place fall apart literally and figuratively through poor management. The residents as a whole within the apartment establishment are loud and obnoxious, considerably more so on the summer weekends. That being said the root of the problem really lies with a penny pinching, money gouging, greedy property management company like MAA. We consistently find dog crap and dog urine throughout stairwells and carpeted hallways. Beer cans and trash also frequently tossed with no real care within these said stairwells. When brought to management attention, they shrug off the concern as if you are not paying premium price on these outdated units. Appliances are outdated for market price, pest control is not a routine consideration, unless complained about on a individual basis. The pool area is worse than a fraternity dorm in summer months. Management finally hired ARMED security guards to patrol the grounds, but refuses to Deny Non-resident outsiders access to the pool through monitoring guest pool passes....which they already paid for. There is not enough parking within the parking garage for all residents which leaves residents sometimes resorting to street parking. Routinely amenities are broken with no real care to be fixed , I.E fire pits, gym equipment and others. Key fobs for secure door entry points routinely do not work. Routinely the "secured parking" is not secured because of the doors being stuck in the open position. We have been told by the property manager that we do not pay for these things to be functional, and our rent simply goes toward our unit. Nothing more. The hallways smell like literal trash due to valet trash cans being placed onto the already disgusting carpets. To top this off, we have been informed of major construction due to water damage on our building and will be going on for the next 6-8 months. The baffling outside of our balcony renders in nearly useless now and the courtyard that poses many of the amenities is not accessible. I could go on and on. Please. Do your research. We did not read enough reviews before moving here and now we are suffering throughout the remainder of our lease. The location is great with many great options. Just not this place.
