| - Disappointing service, don't waste your money. I was hoping to come home to shiny floors and counter tops. I live in a one bedroom condo that is minimalist in style, so there isn't much to clean around, and this should have been a pretty easy job. I booked through Groupon and had three hours which was more time than their website recommended for a condo of my size. The cleaner did show up on time and he was friendly and professional. He didn't seem to want/need much instruction, so I simply told him that I would like him to thoroughly clean all the areas that I might miss in a quick once over, to clean under the sofa, under the cabinets in the bathroom, etc. I asked him not to bother tidying and to leave the pile of clothes on my bed as it was, but that if he did have time to organize the products in my bathroom cupboard a bit that would be great. I came home and instantly saw that my kitchen island had not been wiped down. Come on. I explored further and saw that he had not bothered cleaning all of the floor in the bathroom. There was still hair and dust on the floor near the bathtub. He did not clean under the bathroom cabinets at all ~ I should note that there is lots of room to get in this area. The backsplash around the sink wasn't wiped down. I could go on about things that were missed, but you get the idea. The cleaner had folded up the clothes on my bed into piles. The same clothes I had asked him not to touch. He had also taken a cardboard box that that was meant to be thrown out, cut it up, and made a shelf of sorts next to the bathroom sink. Umm...well intentioned, I'm sure, but I don't exactly want to have a shelf made of cardboard, and why was he wasting time on such endeavours when the basic cleaning hadn't been done? There was no effort to organize the products in my cabinet. Fine, I get that may have been an extra, but maybe instead of working on the cardboard shelf he could have done a basic tidying of the area I actually asked him to work on? When organizing the cabinet myself later on, I noticed that the cleaner had taken business cards that were on my kitchen island and thrown them into my bathroom cabinet amongst the products. Bizarre, and I easily could have lost the cards since he just tossed them randomly into the cabinet and they were hidden amongst the product. So I contacted the company for either a refund or to have someone come and complete the job properly, since they advertise that they have a satisfaction guaranteed policy. They instead tried to offer me one free hour of cleaning, which would mean that I would need to pay for their services again and take another chance on them. No thanks. I explained this to them and asked for a refund. I was told that "not all the areas I listed were included within the areas that they clean" ~ what? ~ but they ultimately said they would send a cheque, but that it may take over a month to reach me. Guess what? It's been two months, I've followed up, and I still don't have my refund.
