I have taken three dogs to this clinic over the last year when my normal veterinarian was closed. The first time I took a pet in she was in congestive heart failure and had to be euthanized (16 years old). The staff was so nice that night that I wrote a thank you. So why the one star? The treatment I received from the staff this time was disgraceful. I rescued a puppy from Serbia on May 16 that I found on the side of the freeway. Two months later, I was able to get air and all the paperwork including vaccinations to have him come to Scottsdale. I took Norman in twice and to my veterinarian twice. He seemed to be going downhill so I took him in a third time on Thursday afternoon, August 4 to SVC totally in despair over his condition. I called ahead and was told there was only one emergency ahead of me. They took Norman (6 pounds at 3 months) back in his cage. After sitting in the waiting room for an hour, no other customers had been in during the last 30 min I inquired about what was happening. I was told no one had looked at him but he was resting. I explained this was an emergency and Robin at the front desk, totally a b***h to me, handed me a list of other vets. They carried Norman back out to me. Fortunately I work with some rescues and they had given me a name of a wonderful veterinarian clinic name who took Norman right in. Unfortunately Norman did not live past 1.5 hours more. I will never walk into that clinic again. I think they need to redefine what an emergency is. They even rumored that maybe Norman had rabies (he was tested and negative). After living on the side of a freeway in Serbia, in a Serbian Vet Cage for one month and a shelter in Serbia, Norman survived 13 days in Scottsdale.
