  • A mind blowing beer list across from a baseball stadium? Pinch me, I must be dreaming. But I was wide awake and very much in awe of the Beer Market on my recent trip to Pittsburgh. What started with a trip to a restroom turned into an infatuation and my go-to bar when by the stadium last weekend. And here's why the Beer Market is great: 1) The bottle list is ginormous. They have beers of every type from all over the country and world. To help aid your decision, the beers are listed both by variety and then by brewery. It's still overwhelming but at least I knew to check the IPA section first. 2) Their draft list is also solid. I'd estimate about 25 or so beers on tap. The variety was pretty mixed as well. 3) Despite being crowded before a baseball game, the bartenders were efficient and friendly. 4) You can carry your beer into the street for the block party. Well at least my group did. 5) The home team fans were friendly to the away team fans. 6) The beer prices were reasonable. I didn't try the food and each visit wasn't too long, but I would definitely go back the next time I'm in town for a game.
