  • After beginning the read of ZK's tome denigrating Wren House as some kind of Millennials' Zen-hell-den, I had to rush back over here to see what horrible things had occurred in my absence. Fortunately, nothing too terrible had occurred in my absence. They got rid of the self-serve water (which is good, it was slow and for me, a prodigious water drinker, a nuisance). They hadn't changed their beer selection much, which is bad in some ways since I always attempt to try new new beers (a feature or defect of using Untappd). The big table is still there, and a variety of potentially nerdy (or hip, I can't tell anymore) folks of indeterminate sex or persuasion were playing board games. There's still no glimpse of the brew operation, so I can't know for sure that they're really a local craft brewery, only that they claim to be. It's true, any hipster can do that. The bathrooms are still clean and unisex- put up the seat or put down the seat, depending on your needs and preference, but keep it clean, in any event. The folks behind the bar are still solid and friendly, and more are more knowledgeable about beer than any average serverperson at OHSO. The late afternoon sun still streams nearly unabated through the front picture windows. The worst thing so far is that the music is "Sister Golden Hair" by America ( thanks Shazam for identifying that, it was just an awful memory to me). Then I read the p.s. on ZK's review, and things got better. Not the awful America tune, but that all was well with Wren House and that ZK shouldn't share his bad stash with others... Anyway, having the excellent Roof Rat, not feeling particularly hip, and looking forward to a little more lively tunes.
