| - Came here for dinner on Memorial Day weekend, so of course it was super packed. It goes by fairly quickly though, the inside is pretty spacious, but they pack the tables kinda close together. We only had to wait around 30 minutes.
They have A LOT of sushi selections, so if you're really craving sushi, this is the place to go. They have the typical ones that you might order at another sushi restaurant, as well as custom rolls you can make and sashimi. The ratio of rice to fish also isn't that bad. However, the problem I have is the freshness of the fish, especially the sashimi. The texture and taste just felt...off. I mean you aren't paying 50/person for this buffet (dinner price was around $30/person) but still I was hoping for better quality.
The hot food selection isn't bad. Decent selection of both veggies and meats. You get your seafood salads and ceviche, crab legs, grilled fish and your typical fried rice and fried noodles. They also have an area where you can order either ramen (soy sauce based or pork broth), or udon. You can also make your own miso soup, filling it with whatever you want. They have a separate sections for shrimp tempura, separate from the veggie tempuras. Because everyone lovees shrimp.
Dessert was just okay. I was so looking forward to the chocolate fountain, but really all they have to dip is marshmellows. No strawberries or whatever. They do have some fruits available which were pineapple, grapes, cantaloupe, and honeydew. I mean I guess you can dip those in chocolate. They had creme brulee (just okay), small cuts of cake, and ice cream (strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, and green tea).
Overall, it did satisfy my sushi cravings, but left me really wanting more in terms of the quality. I'm not sure I'd come back, but we'll see.
