Just had dinner at Stella's kitchen in the Tempe marketplace wow what a mistake this is actually the second time I've been there. I was just there for labor day and had a great experience decent food for the money and a good waiter. This time around my waiter was less than courteous. After being seated at our dirty table by a kind waitress, our actual waiter comes over. I guess asking him to clean our table was a bad idea because his attitude just got worse from that point on. He never said youre welcome once during the whole meal. not only did he have a problem bringing my sister a new drink after her first one didn't taste right, there may have been spit in the new drink (we believe this because there was a foamy white viscose substance on the top that was stringy like mucous and never broke down like normal carbonation after monitoring the drink for the rest of the meal). The manager was out on the floor not addressing customers not dressed professionally and talking about nonwork related things. The kitchen is open so you can obviously see what is going on, turns out right before they are going to bring the food out they notice a mistake has been made and were fixing it. It was very scary because we already felt like there might be something in the drink. To make a long story short, we got our food, my sister couldn't eat hers because she was grossed out and we decided to take the high road and just pay and leave. Instead of making a big deal in front of the other customers that were there I figured I would call the manager and just alert her of our concerns over the phone as a courtesy. I was asked how we knew he spit in the drink, and I was told he was the assistant manager for some years now and I could write the owners about our concerns and she then hung up on me. So in the end, I'd just say don't eat there.
