STAY AWAY FROM THIS JOKE OF AN OFFICE!
This is going to be a novel, but if you care about your health and finances and want to know what this place is like before you get anything done I suggest you read it. I asked for pre-determination of benefits prior to my appointment to get crowns done. They said they had plenty of time to get it completed on time. I called a couple weeks prior to the scheduled appointment asking why I had not heard anything about my predetermination. They then said it was never submitted. I was unable to reschedule my appointment at that time because I was losing my dental insurance so I had the procedure done because I TRUSTED the judgement of a licensed dentist that the procedure was needed and urgent. Big mistake. Turns out the procedure was reviewed by another licensed dentist and deemed unnecessary by my insurance and I could have saved about $800 (this was my initial cost) and then they say they are coming after me for an additional $436?!
Fast forward almost a year.......I've spent the last 11 months going back and forth between my insurance company and this office trying to get the remaining $436 paid...I've had to call them at least once every two weeks to remind them to resubmit the claim (they never once called me to let me know they had done so even though I requested for them to) and finally after almost a year, Bianca (the office manager I'd been working with this entire time) said it has been so long and that we are not getting anywhere so she would get it adjusted and have the bill written off. She told me this in the middle of March and that she would have to contact billing (they never seem to be able to reach billing as someone is always "out of town").... She said she would have it taken care of and call me in the first week of April to let me know. So here we are in the 2nd week of April and I call to check if it had been taken care of and the office manager left! And apparently there were NO notes on my account regarding what had been going on so they have to "email the director to take a look at my account". So here we go, yet again having to wait and wait with no progress. I doubt they will even call me and I will likely have to continue calling and calling which is extremely inconvenient and unprofessional on their end. And shout out to Bianca for dragging this on and on until she could leave and not have to worry about it anymore.
I have never felt more mistreated as a patient. I gave them the benefit of the doubt multiple times. This clinic has no idea what they are doing when it comes to insurance and billing. EXTREMELY poor customer service skills and lack of integrity. Stay far away from this terrible place. I will be reviewing them on any platform I can- BBB, Facebook, and even going to the Arizona Board of Dental Examiners and be sure to know that ALL of my friends and family will know how bad of a place this is and will hopefully never step foot in a Brightnow. Worse dental office I could have ever imagined. TERRIBLE, AWFUL, NIGHTMARE OF A PLACE. Stay far away!!!
