| - Rooftop view- amazing. Service- amazing. Food- amazing. When can I go back?!?!
We had reservations for 7:00pm and got there a little early. We would have been fine waiting until our designated time, but they kindly whisked us upstairs to the roof to a reserved table. It was a beautiful night with a little breeze, and it was really nice to look at the Uptown skyline from our seats.
Our server explained that the restaurant was just introducing a new menu, and asked us to bear with them as everything on the menu was new. We need not have worried, though, because the food was served quickly and everything was out of this world. Our server was also very helpful in answering our questions (such as how many plates should we order for two people to split, what's the deal with the poutines, etc.).
We ordered The Queen City poutine, which is apparently a staple on the menu (so one of the only items that wasn't new that night). I don't remember everything that was on it, but I do know it involved queso and short ribs. SO GOOD. All the other poutines looked amazing, as well. We also split the avocado fried, with green goddess dipping sauce, which were amazing.
Our third and last plate was the corn dogs. While hesitant about ordering something so odd, my husband persuaded me. The corn dogs were maple breakfast sausages rolled in a blueberry waffle batter and fried. They were served with a blueberry maple dipping sauce. Sounds odd. WAS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. They were awesomely greasy, like a funnel cake, without being dripping with oil. The sausages were large and flavorful. The sauce made it all the better. These are such a cool and special addition to the menu. I highly recommend them!
All in all, I would go back in a heartbeat.
