I actually frequent this place and have always had mixed feelings about what review to give. The food has been pretty consistently good 90% of the time.
However, IMO - the worst idea ever was to merge Shoku and Bachi together. For those that just want a bowl of noodles (which is pretty good) you are thrown in the same dining area as the Bachi customers. Imagine merging two restaurants together but only having half the wait staff. Maybe you're trying to save money, I don't know. But please understand that you don't have enough wait staff. Your tables are only 50-60% filled, yet you have 5+ parties waiting to be seated during peak times for more than 30+ min. This has happened on my last 3 recent visits. Don't you realize you're only hurting your own profits?
You may also want to train your kitchen staff that when people at the table order noodles with takoyaki and a kakuni bowl that you should probably bring those appetizers out "before" the noodles and not after.
I love the food, but I don't like how unorganized it is. Get your hard working servers some extra help!
