  • I came to Velveteen Rabbit based on the rave reviews from my friend Sarah-Marie V. And I had a friend coming to town who wanted to impress his date, so I thought this would be the perfect time to try out the Velveteen and I'm glad I did! The location gives off a great vibe with a very cool and sleek exterior. The interior also delivers with eclectic decor and upscale vibe. Now on the the good stuff... The drinks!!! Man oh man the drinks did not disappoint either. They were strong enough to get you buzzed but not so strong that the alcohol over powers the drink. The mixologist here were on point and made for a great experience. The location also features a live DJ (well at least on the night we were there.) And it also has an outdoor patio area which is great for summer nights! The place overall is not huge but is still great for group outings. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a classy upscale night out in downtown. Also centrally located near first friday so a place to hit before or after. Fyi- parking is limited so be prepared to hunt and/ or walk!
