Can I get an L!O!V! AND E!
This place is easily one of my favorite theaters ever. A cool vibe with local artwork and bizarre film clips await you in the lobby or outside porch while you sip a beer or wine.
Low on amenities (small alcohol list, even smaller on food offerings) but big on spirit.
And the best thing is the films. It ranges quite drastically. I've seen modern indies/foreign (recently I, Tonya, A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night, Bone Tomahawk, Dave Made A Maze, and The Handmaiden), stone cold classics (Raiders of the Lost Ark), silent films with a live orchestra (Buster Keaton's Go West), older horror movies with horror hosts (Horror Express, The Funhouse), and total trash (The Room!). I know they also do sing alongs, critical discussions, and the like. I have always been surrounded by enthusiastic and friendly cinema lovers. And the setting is super intimate. Plus, you get to drink while you watch!
Can't go wrong exploring this unique and beloved film bar.
