The bus is hardly ever on time. The 62 is consistently 30-50 minutes late day after day, early in the morning and in the afternoon as well. Valley Metro doesn't care less if their customers are left out in 115 degree heat despite the promise of their bus schedule. In fact, Vally Metro cares so little that they do not even update their website with accurate information reflecting how late the bus actually is. This causes their customers to be left clueless in the dark waiting sometimes an extra hour just to catch a bus an hour later because it never came to the stop that it was supposed to. Vally Metro needs to hold their drivers more accountable and to actually reprimand them if they are not at the stops on time! Furthermore, some of the bus drivers could definitely use a lesson in customer service. My girlfriend has been hassled by them about her service dog, which is discrimination and illegal. She was told by a driver that her dog doesn't "look" like a service dog and that her dog "doesn't look like it is performing a task." Just because her dog is smaller (it's not a mobility dog, it is a psychiatric and Med alert dog), the driver can not possibly tell if the dog has a task and what that task may be from just from looking at the dog/handler. Keep in mind, her dog has and was wearing a vest that was marked as "service animal. Please do not pet." There are other complaints on here about similar problems yet Vally Metro has done nothing. If Valley Metro's employees continue this discrimination then Valley Metro will eventually be dealt a very expensive law suit! Hopefully they actually take the time to talk to their employees and train them to be nicer and more accommodating to individuals with service animals. If not, then I'm sure that they will pay the price in the form of an expensive law suit. All in all, Valley Metro charges way too much for the crappy service that they deliver.
