| - One of the most overhyped plates of pseudo middle eastern foods in North America, that may have at one time been worth it. Unfortunately, commercialization and franchising has turned this brand into a tourist trap that serves unrecognizable pieces of meat, accompanied by bland rice and tasteless lettuce, smothered in a highly questionable substance called 'white sauce'. If you're visiting this place, especially in Toronto, please know that there are MUCH better options for middle eastern food, within the same price range, and in the same area. Shish Kabab Express at Bay/Dundas, or even the Ali Baba location near Ryerson, to name a few.
If you're a tourist looking for authentic middle eastern food, find some time to make your way to the stretch of Yonge between Steeles and Finch in North York - you will be spoiled for options! Even if you go to the hot food bar at Khorak Supermarket, you'll be better served.
