  • Great place! I go to the fabulous stylist Pablo at Urban Hair. Pablo does a great job of giving you a look that's fun and current. I always bring in pictures of what I want and he always gives me the look I want in a way that compliments my features. Pablo is also incredibly precise with his cutting, always making sure everything is even and looks good. What's even better about him is that his cuts grow out really well, he is the only hairstylist I've ever had who has given me haircuts that can truly stretch out for a few months before they start to look misshapen and lank. Not to mention he also makes really good suggestions about tweaks to your cut and color that can take it to the next level. Urban Hair itself is kind of hidden in the strip mall it's located in; it doesn't have a store front, just a door. But the inside of the place is decorated in a really fun and funky way. As someone else said, it definitely has an Alice in Wonderland craziness going on, different wallpapers and huge mirrors everywhere. Where else are there thrones in the waiting room? I pay $35 for a girls haircut from Pablo with free bang trims. My boyfriend goes to the stylist Ambur Gore (whom he really likes and trust to do a good job) at Urban Hair and pays $25 for his haircut. The prices change depending on the stylist, but most of the stylist bios on Urban Hair's website include their price list (It's around $30+ for a haircut from most of the stylists, though guys haircuts are always a tad cheaper than girls). In summary: Go to Urban Hair if you want a hip but wearable cut, specifically go to Pablo. It's worth the trip into Phoenix.
