This was the worst thing ever put on in Glendale. Many of the confirmed vendors were not there. Many of us paid extra to get an express pass through the lines but there was only one line for each vendor so there was no such thing as an express line. We were to get a free drink. They ran out of the free water and soda and kept telling people it would be 15 mins. After waiting an hour I gave up. Many of the vendors weren't even participating in the sampling. They were only selling their food. Some vendors 'ran out' of samples within 2 hours but still had plenty of food to sell. After paying $48 for my ticket ($38+service fee+taxes) it was a huge let down. Everyone I have heard from feels the same. I stupidly paid for my ticket through the actual festival website so I will never see any of my money. One person said that Groupon did give him his money back. Wish I had bought my ticket through Groupon.
Also the event has a Facebook page. They were getting tons of negative feedback and deleting all of the posts. My post was polite but honest and they deleted it 5 times before they stopped deleting negative posts. Or at least they have allowed three negative posts to remain. The did respond to the posts but only to apologize for any 'confusion'. What confusion? When you have it in writing that there is a free shuttle and an express pass line and other promises, how is that confusion? The beautiful city of Glendale has been marred by this event. We all should get our money back. But let's be honest, we won't.
