| - I'll start this review the same way I always start...five stars is nearly impossible to achieve (with me). To Letty's credit, there was not one thing they could have done better during my visit. No wait (11:30am on a Sunday), great/kind wait staff, great sweet tea and great food. Now, let's get to the review...
I try to check-out local spots when traveling. Yelp makes that easier. I wanted something close to the university and open on Sunday at 11am. Letty's was!
I ordered the honey pecan fried chicken, after narrowing it down to this and one other option on the menu. (I don't even remember what that other dish was, but it had shrimp and a Creole sauce). The server recommended the honey pecan fried chicken, so who am I to argue?
The dish cane with two sides. I opted for the rice pilaf and fried potato wedges. The rice was...well, rice. If its not bad, its what you expect, right? The potato wedges were good. I guess ive had bad wedges, but these were not. Did I mention they were fried? I barely ate the sided, though. Instead, I spent my hunger on the two boneless fried chicken masterpieces covered in honey and pecans. I don't even like honey and pecans, but I devoured it all! If/when back in Charlotte, I'll be back!
