We went to the Blue Hound for a work happy hour birthday celebration. To start, our server, also a bartender, when asked for a Manhattan with sweet vermouth, said quite sarcastically "as opposed to..." I explained that I have had bartenders in the past make me a Manhattan with dry vermouth and I did not want that experience again. To which he replied "That is a Brooklyn" and walked away. OK giving him the benefit of the doubt, our drinks came and my Manhattan was very nice (everyone else drank wine and beer, so you can't really screw that up). We ordered round two and those arrived and then decided to order some food. And it's as if our server vanished. Only he didn't. He just stopped coming to our table and waited only on those around us. Finally I went to the bar to try and get help and a bartender found a server to come to our table...while his colleague continued to avoid our table. The food was so so (macaroni and cheese, sliders and wings). The young lady who took over service duty was great. But the die was cast. This was a bad experience and I will not be going back.
