  • I thought we were in for a treat last Friday night as my wife and I, along with a friend, went to T. Cooks for the first time. And it was a beautiful setting no doubt about it. The problem was with the food. All three dishes were lacking in taste, bland, and far below the anticipated standard. For the record they were the sea bass, the mushroom ravioli, and the scallops. I had the sea bass and while there was no problem with the quality of the fish itself, it was entirely lacking flavor, a tasteless fish with greens underneath that added zero to the dish. My wife had the raviolo which tasted, as she put it, like mushroom paste in beef broth. Our companion described the scallops as "okay". Perhaps our expectations were too high. One dish is, while not acceptable, understandable perhaps as part of the dining experience on occasion. However, all three dishes being below par for a restaurant such as this is a huge disappointment. I don't know the cause but I do know the solution.
