  • We tried Hearthstone over the weekend for my mothers birthday celebration. Unfortunately we didn't order any steak, but we did have the prime rib, octopus appetizer, and Brussels sprouts slaw. The prime rib was good, but not amazing. It had an almost smokey flavor. The slaw was also good, but not grand because it lacked flavor. The show stopper was the octopus appetizer, which had a charred outside and soft inside. Paired with the sauce, it was exquisite! The martinis were wonderful, but it's a little difficult to mess up a dirty martini. I'm glad we had a coupon because I would have felt like I overpaid. The ambiance of the restaurant certainly made up for the food quirks.
