One of my favorite places to see a show in Madison. The size is just my speed - small enough to still feel intimate but large enough that you feel the energy of a good crowd. The venue is definitely walkable from the Capitol but if it's a cold night, a Lyft from downtown is really affordable too. I like that they have bars on both sides, no awkwardly weaving through a whole crowd of people to get another beer. The drink prices are fair for a music venue and the bartenders are friendly and speedy. I really like the range of bands they bring here (I am seeing one of my favorite artists, Mitski, here in March and I just know it's gonna be a tight show) and the sound has always been great.
They also hold craft fairs here - I went to a holiday one and although it was rather small, it did have a good range of vintage clothing, soaps, prints, local food goods, etc. I love that they hold such a great range of events and I hope to make it out to music trivia here one day! Keep on being great, High Noon.
