| - I almost feel bad giving two stars but now after going here twice, its a fair assessment and my kind soft heart shouldn't fee bad, haha! I realized that the finishing touches are what this place really needs to improve on. The first time we were here, my husband's Texas toast on his sandwich wasn't even toasted....so that sorta came across just plain lazy on the chef's part. This past time, his pickle on his plate was shriveled looking and sad, and the cheese on top of my pork sandwich was not melted AT all. I wish they'd just take a few moments to pay attention to those details because to me, that goes a long way. We also decided that their meat is a bit dry on all items we've ordered compared to other BBQ we've had at other places. One thing that we do like are the sauces - their "spicy" has a small kick, but seems like a manageable amount of spice for the average person. Also, they were super nice last time because I thought I had ordered one thing, and the waitress brought me something else that she thought I had said. It made me feel bad that maybe I did say the wrong thing, but she also felt bad so they brought out the item I thought I originally ordered (so I ended up with two meals, took one home....that was very kind of them!!). But, I was a tad disappointed to see on that order though that the "topped with fried onions" were literally just like the French's fried onions you buy at the store in the bag (that you use for green bean casserole at thanksgiving). I had anticipated actual fresh fried onions. Sadly, we won't be returning I don't think.
