Life Nightclub at SLS is what I imagined 'traditional' club venues to look like: neon lasers/lights bouncing around the ceiling, gogo dancers strutting on top of podiums, bursts of smoke launched into the crowd, and a simple rectangular layout. In comparison to Omnia, Hakkasan, and Surrender, Life Nightclub is actually quite plain. I'm conflicted on how I feel about Life. I think this fledgling nightclub is still trying to make a name for itself in Las Vegas.
As many other Yelpers have stated, the crowd at Life is kind of odd. I've been here twice and this has been true on both occasions. The music is still on par with other venues, despite the lack of name catching DJs. Because of its fledgling status, it's not packed at all at Life. On my last visit to Life, glow sticks were thrown out into the crowd as well as blow-up giraffes. Drunk girls were clinging on to those giraffes for dear life - they really wanted a souvenir!
One thing I really dislike is the co-ed washing area. I felt totally awkward trying to fix my makeup with a dude washing his hands next to me.
Worth a Return Visit?
I come to Life solely because it's a Meetup destination. Free drinks with drink tickets until 1AM doesn't hurt either.
