| - Ill start my recent vegas trip's reviews from top to bottom. This was my favorite meal. We went on a whim and remembering Davy F highly recommending it. I happen to be on Sahara coming from nearby trader joes. It was about 3pm and we had dinner reservations at 7p so we were debating on whether to eat or hold off. My wife is a Casino snob and will not enter a casino off the strip unless i force her too. She took a look at PS and said WTH are we doing here. I said lets try the Oyster bar, my friends says its good. She gave me that evil looking. But we both glad we did.
It didn't start out good as we found it wasn't a real restaurant but a counter with about 20 seats. There was also a line about 7 parties deep. I could see more and more steam coming out of her head. Since i picked the place, so I told her go play something. So she went on her way.
About 45-60min later we finally got seated. By this time she wasn't talking to me, saying we are gonna eat again in a few hours. So i said let share a dish. We decided on 1/2 dozen oysters and a cioppino. The oysters were good and fresh. They were a good starter. The cioppino, in my opinion was one of the best i tasted. The sauce had the perfect consistency, and tasted perfect. There was an abundance of crab, shrimp, clams, and mussels. And they give you steamed white rice.....YES!
its amazing the cook and server can handle that countertop alone. Of course they have the runners doing the behind the scene work, but the two of them cooking and serving in perfect harmony.
This is not a place to sit, eat and talk story. You eat and run, so if the person glaring at you standing in line because you are taking your sweet ass time, you know why. This place is great for single diners. You probably can get a seat in half the time.
