I got my wedding cake here based on a friend's recommendation. Unfortunately that was a huge mistake.
We ordered enough cake to feed a total of 150 guests. We decided on a three tier cake - top layer was real while the other two were foam. Instead, we'd get an additional slab cake with a layer of fresh strawberries. Six days before our wedding, another friend used Louis Xiv for their wedding cake to feed 250 people. Midway through the wedding, they ran out of cake. Upon discovering that they used the same bakery, we went back to the manager and asked about the size of our cake.
The male owner said it's not about the size of the cake at the wedding. People are there to celebrate your love. After a brief session of BS, we discover this baker's suggested serving size is half of the Wilton method, aka one finger sized. He even had the guts to say you'd have to cut the one tier cake in half (width wise) then split them up into sizes. On the day of the wedding, he dropped off the cake (as we paid for delivery) in the foyer of the banquet hall and walked away without telling anyone.
You may be tempted by the price and the beautiful samples in the store front but stay away, far far away from this bakery for you wedding cake.
