This is the only time I have ever posted anything on Yelp. But I felt I had too. This is the email I just sent Mister Grooming & Goods. It should explain everything...
I went in for a trim and had an appointment with Gina. She did not take her time and was not paying attention at all! I gave her instructions on how to cut my hair i.e. my hair curls as it gets longer, please cut the curls out but keep the length and make sure to trim the back shorter. She did the opposite and trimmed my bangs too short and didn't touch my sides or back. I asked her to fix it and it felt like a panic hair cut from then on. Like she was genuinely panicking trying to fix it. It felt very uncomfortable. I wasn't going to tip and in fact didn't at first. Then I felt bad and gave 15%. BTW: I Love the look of the shop and the overall experience i.e. straight edge razor, actually does beards, drinks, hot towel and massage. Gina didn't really do any of this stuff either. And left me with a lot of loose hair all over my shirt because of her last minute "fix." When it was all said and done, I got a crappy $20 haircut that I could have gotten at Supercuts. No different... except the PBR.
P.S. Everyone I've asked at work says the cut doesn't look very good. "Unbalanced" with the bangs way too short is the consensus. And of course, everyone is recommending their guy.
