What can I say, I love TAO! I have been to the one in NYC by central park and loved it. Have to say I loved this one too! The entrance is located inside the Venetian near the entrance to the gondola shops. They also have a cute little TAO gift shop. The entrance to TAO is a dark tunnel with pools with rose petals, so purdy! We sat on the main floor in front of the budda.
I was pleased to see they have a couple of my favorites. The dragon tail spare ribs, and the sandpot! The waiter asked if we have ever been to TAO before, which I responded of course! I asked if he had any favorites, and he liked the coconut shrimp. Like a creature of habit I went for my favorites. The coconut shrimp is an entreé but we ordered it as an appetizer. It was so good! The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the coating was crispy. Next we got the dragon tail ribs! They were so good and meaty! They were so tender you can eat them with a fork! When we were received our sandpot I noticed something strange, no lobster?! I asked the waiter and they prepare it a little different then in NYC. They de-shell the lobster and let it sauté in the garlic sauce. Either way it was still delicious. It was also a plus not to have to work at my food LoL. So in good TAO fashion, its dessert time! You can not go to TAO and NOT get the fortune cookie! So good! It's a giant fortune cookie filled with vanilla mousse on one side and vlchocolate mousse on the other, and served with fresh fruits. All in all a good time was had by many! This place should be a must on your next visit!
