  • I have been going to Mesa Grill in Caesar's palace for many many years, probably 5-6 times at least. I have always loved the restaurant and it was my go-to place for brunch in Vegas. My last review was 5 stars. However, this time, I invited new guests to enjoy brunch at Mesa Grill and overall, it was an embarrassing and unpleasant experience. First, one of our guests (a 70 year old Vietnam veteran) was asked to remove his hat (which was a Vietnam vet hat). I understand there is a hat policy, however we then saw women in hats throughout the restaurant + even a man with a flipped back baseball cap. If you are going to have a policy and actually ask a guest to remove the hat, at minimum you should be consistent and unbiased in your approach. Our server was atrocious. He interrupted our conversation many times, was super confused about our order. I explained I had a dairy allergy and he insisted on announcing that information loudly and then got confused on another guest's order thinking they had a dairy allergy. Once our food arrived, he forgot numerous items including maple syrup for waffles, an order of bacon, and delivered sauces to the wrong people. We literally had to get up a few times to go to the kitchen to ask for syrup while the waffles were getting cold. We complained to the manager, and they sent us a new server... but never checked in to see how we were doing. It was so bad, we finally got up and tried to speak to the manager. The manager was incredibly rude to us and said if we liked the food, we shouldn't worry about the service. This really was the end for us as by now our whole party was upset. Honestly, the whole experience was so bad, I can tell you I will never visit this restaurant again. It's really a shame as the food is great and I love Bobby Flay, but this has tarnished the whole brand experience for me. It's not that hard to deliver good service and with so many great options in Vegas I am certain I can find a better location for brunch.
