  • I am a review fanatic and after reading some of these reviews I was VERY apprehensive about staying here but as I've said before, always judge based on your own experience. We came to Vegas for a wedding and had plenty of activities planned so this hotel was reasonable, good location and a good choice. We arrived late Thursday (about 2am) and left Sunday night. Check-in was very easy! There is a resort fee associated with any stay in Vegas so the staff explained it covers fees such as printing boarding passes, the pool, etc. In my opinion, it seems a bit much but it must be paid. She gave us our room keys and directed us to our rooms. The hotel is located next to Luxor and New York New York. Its on the strip and very convenient to get to other hotels or activities around the city. The entire hotel has is a Medieval theme, which attracts kids and adults. I didn't see many children during my stay here except one morning I went to the pool area. The pool area is very big and includes a special adult-only pool. You don't  have to bring a towel from your room, just show the attendant your room key and you can grab as many towels as you need. There were several bar areas, lounge chairs and Cabana's for relaxing and/or tanning. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The beds and pillows were SUPER comfy- no problems sleeping at all. They have nice flat screens also. My only concern is the room doesn't come with a microwave, mini fridge and/or coffee maker. Its strange because there is a space right under the tv where a fridge can fit. Instead, it can be purchased for a daily fee- no thank you! We didn't have a good view (not requested either) because we mainly needed a place to shower, sleep, get dressed and this hotel did just that. We had no concerns with room service. Once we arrived we noticed the safe wasn't working properly so we called to the front desk, informed them and someone was coming to fix it 4 minutes later. I'm surprised they came so quickly, especially since it was almost 3am but he came and fixed it immediately. There are several restaurants and shopping stores located on the 2nd floor all ranging from Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Cinnabon, Krispy Kreme, Popeye's, etc. There is also a buffet, steakhouse and a few other eating places along with nice bar areas. Need some jewelry or a handbag? Bag of chips or souvenirs? No worries as they have stores for that also. As expected, the food is a bit pricey but its very convenient. Some are open 24 hours (Schlotzskys for sure) but unsure on the others. The hotel also has plenty of slot machines and tables. I enjoy blackjack and to see they had a $5 table was heaven! Smoking is allowed but don't think you can walk around the entire place and smoke, only in certain areas. While checking in, a man was standing in line smoking and the staff politely told him smoking is for the bar area only. Smoking is allowed while gambling too. We were in town for a special event and seen no point of renting a car so I'm unsure how the parking is. We either called a taxi or used Uber the entire trip and that went well. They do have a designated area they pick you up (per Uber and hotel rules) which is near the casino entrance. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and will gladly stay here again. The customer service was great by the front desk staff, housekeeping and concierge. Its in a convenient location, we felt safe at all times and whatever we needed the hotel provided. Thanks!
