  • We had a fairly large project with Greencare. Parts of it we are very happy with and parts we are not happy with so wanted to leave a fair assessment to let other consumers know where they did really well and where there is lots of room for improvement. PRO TIP - Do not pay for any segments of the project in full!!!! Make sure to take advantage of all financing, payment plans, discounts etc possible and pay the bare minimum out of pocket. Do not pay in full until the project is fully completed to your satisfaction. If they want your money and your business they will work with you. Project: Pool, landscaping, pavers, pool fence, and outdoor bar\grill Report card: Pool - overall A- excavation, rebar, and plumbing work - A outstanding work here Tile, stucco, plaster - B+ We were really happy with most of the work. It's hard to make it come out perfectly but they worked with us to clear up the tile errors and it came out really nice. Pool equipment, drains, stone work, fit and finish - B+ There are a few small deficiencies we hope they will come back and fix but over all we have been pretty happy with the work they did on our pool. The pool equipment started leaking when it got cold. Turns out this was an easy fix which they addressed. The in floor cleaning system pop up nozzles seem to get stuck likely due to the sand that gets down in them. We have asked about this several times but nothing has been done to fix them or no guidance on how to fix it has been provided. Pool fence - nightmare, get an outside vendor to do this. There were issues between the subcontractor and Greencare and the vendor came back and stole part of the fence back. This part is a mess, take care of the vendor work yourself. D- Landscaping - overall A- We had pavers, a retaining wall, and several plants\trees installed. The first few times the landscaping crew showed up they were asking us where the materials were, where their boss was, as well as what they were supposed to be doing. ............... I didn't have a clue on the answer to any of these so a few days were wasted here. Once they got direction, guidance, and materials. These guys did a really good job and worked quickly in the heat of the summer. Outdoor bar and grill: D- For some reason this has been the toughest part of the job. Even tougher than the pool, plumbing, electric etc. The project seemed to start out okay but as it went on it rapidly went downhill. The counter top had to be torn out and redone 3-4 times before they got it right as we chose the natural concrete finish. We had a few other things go wrong with it. This project started in August and we are approaching January now and it is still not done. This has probably been the most painful part of the whole project and it feels like this has basically been abandoned. Areas where they shine: Pool\spa - would do business again, mostly happy minus a few small details Landscaping - would do business again, the yard looks very nice Areas for improvement: Pool fence - No, organize a contractor to do this yourself outdoor bar\grill\sink - No, have this done elsewhere. This has been seemingly one of the more baffling projects Communication: is okay via email while the major projects are underway and while there is still money to collect. Once you have paid in full, the communication ceases and the projects in motion start to develop attributes of a project that has been abandoned. You will have to call many times, ask to speak with managers, emailed Tim (we got one more visit after this, project still unfinished with missed ETA and no projected ETA in place), project managers, hope you get a call back. Scheduled visits and scheduled call back get missed, forgotten, and a slew of other excuses. I know they mean well but the simple fact is we have lost count of how many call backs, commitments, and visits have been missed. To get the project from the 90% mark to the finish line, you may need to constantly have to call, email, complain, and beg for them to come finish the project. We always seem to be waiting on something, some part, some insert random thing here for months and months. Hence the advise to do everything you can not to pay in full until your project is completed to your satisfaction. Overall assessment - the majority of the work that was done was pretty good and we would likely use them again for some things. We would likely use them again for individual items (eg. landscaping, or a pool, or pavers, or a patio etc) not a whole project.
