  • I don't give very many 1 star reviews. I have been living here since spring, and at first everything was fine. Competitive price for living downtown, great apartment layout, awesome that it's so close to cool spots. But the fact that it exists in the location it does isn't enough for an extra star, here's why: This is the second evening since I've lived here that the fire alarm has gone off in my building for over an hour. The first time, a monsoon hit, and all the lights went out (no emergency lights kicked on). Forgivable, except when our power outage ended at 5am, so did... All the alarms in the apartment. Those did not stop until almost 9am. Earlier in this past week, we received a notice saying that repairs on the fire system were supposed to be done by a contractor but were not completed, but should be soon. And here we are, the alarms still going. This apartment complex also refused to tow a car in my spot. After being told by the office the "towee" has to have 24 hours notice before towing, I brought the signed lease agreement to management's attention, stating that a car parked in a spot leased by a leasee (duh) could be towed at anytime. I cited the lease agreement to the manager, who said "it has to be an emergency," to which I had to point out was not written anywhere in the signed agreement. It took 3 days to tow this car- which turns out, was apparently double assigned to our spot, as it showed up in the parking next to mine not a day after being towed. Lastly, it's common for management to incorrectly stick "final notice" letters in your door that are in reality are first notices or notices you should have never been received (there was a line of people in the office to complain). Other residents complaining said management cited "temp labor" used to go through resident files. Okay, hopefully my personal information doesn't get stolen! There's a laundry list of other things: refrigerator was not replaced as was promised, repairs on the cabinet were not repaired (they don't close), and I heard several people asking management about when flood damage would be handled (weeks after the monsoon passed, WEEKS) but I think you get the picture. Don't rent here. We look forward to leaving ASAP. I know most apartments can be a pain, but the quality of the management is far below acceptable standard.
