  • I cannot express how much disdain I have for this "doctor." It's sad that he's in a profession where he's supposed to be healing and helping people. Either the want to help people has been beaten out of him, or he got into medicine for the wrong reasons in the first place. But please - if there's one thing I can stress: get yourself to another doctor! Like other reviewers, we kept coming back to see the nurse practitioner (our preferred was Nurse Bailey). Then after she left, it seemed like a hassle to change doctors. We should've made the effort. Not only is it frustrating to talk to his staff who cares about as much as he does, but it's a health hazard. Need them to call in a prescription to your pharamacy? They won't. Need them to call you when your blood work results are in? They won't. Need them to fax your records to another medical doctor when you've been diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer? Stress the urgency as much as you like - they won't do it. Suzanne acts like she's completely bothered to have a conversation with patients. Elizabeth actually hung up the phone on me. I was calling for the fourth time, asking when we could get medical records, and she blamed Suzanne for not doing her job. She hung up on me because I pointed out that I'd originally requested the records five weeks prior and Dr. Wolfson had told my husband he had two weeks to live - worst case. I asked if they were just waiting for him to die. That caused her to hang up. And was I being rude? Yes. But is it completely unreasonable to reach this conclusion? No. And were they just hoping he would die? I honestly don't know. Because when Elizabeth finally gave me the records, they were stripped. What had previously been a large, overflowing file, was now thin and literally showed no office visits for the past year. There were no notes in the file other than when we dealt with Nurse Bailey in the years prior. I'm not sure if my husband's files were targeted specifically or if that's just office protocol -- when releasing files, hide all evidence to avoid potential malpractice lawsuits. There are tons of minor annoyances -- like always needing to take at least 3 hours out of your day anytime you have an appointment. We booked the first morning appointments or the first appointment back from lunch in an attempt to beat the crowds. It didn't matter if we were the first to enter the office. It was always a long, long wait. They don't stagger patients and they book pharmaceutical rep appointments during patient time too. It's frustrating to sit there for two hours and then see a beatuful blonde rep walk out of the back and wonder why he couldn't plan better. So, needing to call the office multiple times for RX refills, having them not return the pharmacy's phone calls, having them not do a damn thing -- all that is frustrating. But when you look at the influence a doctor has... People literally trust a doctor with their lives... It's terrible to me that these people are in the medical field. Please don't trust this doctor with caring about your life or your health. Dr. Wolfson is the kind-of guy who's writing you a prescription as soon as he walks into your room. He doesn't take the time to listen or review your chart or history. It was always a mystery to wait for three hours and see maybe three other people in the entire office -- and then still only get 60 seconds with the doctor. Does he just breeze in the backdoor for an hour a day? And could he be bothered to read a patient's chart and see that the medicine he prescribed for the flu was contraindicated for diabetics? Just a little time, Doc. Maybe some eye contact. You really give the impression that you only care about getting your co-pay. I truly hope your positive reviews are legit, because I hate to think you'd really suck as much as my experience with you indicates. I hope you've helped at least one person in your career. It would've been nice if we'd changed doctors years ago when Nurse Bailey left. Lesson learned. A very expensive lesson for us...
