| - Stayed at the hotel for a week long vacation two weeks ago, staffs were very friendly, but I was disappointed and still disappointed at this point. Arrived there around 3pm, but did not get to check in until an hour half later because our room door was broken by the previous person who lived there. Everything else was okay for the rest of the week although we did not like the design of the room, very dim light. It's one thing to be romantic, it's another to be not able to see anything. My husband and I needed to pack our luggage during the day because it's too dark to see what we are packing at night. The light pollution outside the hotel is way brighter than the room. Room was dated, needed to upgrade the lighting system and the ventilation. Love the view outside the window though. Location is perfect for the price, close to everything, the public transit, Chinatown and old port, walking distance, at least for us. I respect the culture, but there was only one English channel, wish to have more. Internet was extremely fast though, we had fun watching videos on laptops and tablets.
Had a nice stay over all, but ended up not happy when we see the bill. We were charged 27.93 for a restaurant "dine out"/"visit" which we never did because we either at out or brought food back to the room from Chinatown since it's cheaper and more convenient that way.
Called the hotel, still trying to resolve the issue right now, hope everything works out.
