| - Atmosphere: Hostel Cat looks daunting and rather unkept on the outside but is quite pleasant on the inside. The main building is linked to a compound of dorms that is only accessible by pad-lock entry. Rooms are clean and basic but the hostel supplies guests with fresh linens, towels and a blanket. The main building includes a self-service kitchen, dining table and living room with a TV. The crowd at hostel cat is young, rowdy and a ton of fun. The hostel plans evening activities, e.g., bars, clubs, etc., for each day of the week and usually includes day activities, e.g., pool parties, for the weekend.
Service and staff: staff was friendly and attentive; don't be afraid to ask for bar or restaurant re recommendations (and don't miss out on planned activities).
Dining: self-service kitchen within the main building.
Overall impression: I would recommend Hostel Cat if you're looking for a budget-friendly party hostel a ~15 minute walk from all the action on the Vegas strip; plus, upon check-out, you have a choice between your initial deposit or branded tank top.
