  • As an avid bruncher and vegas native, I like to think I know a thing or two about local breakfast eateries. Been meaning to try this spot for a few months now as its within a few miles from home and could easily become the go to location. Made plans ahead of time with another couple who hadn't tried this spot either but was interested. Arrived around 11am on a Sunday to a 30 min wait. Not surprising and expected for time and day. What was surprising was how slow service seemed to move with how big the restaurant was. I've worked in the restaurant industry in the past so it didn't take long to notice where the bottleneck issues were coming from. Regardless, I wasn't too annoyed as it was still Sunday and brunchday afterall. Our servers name was Chelsea, she was super friendly and welcoming within a few seconds of seating. They have a nice looking beverage bar in the corner but not an elaborate beverage list to match. Fresh squeezed OG is available. Ambience is fun and fresh and the Jammie's are a kitchy touch. The menu has a nice variety of choices which is great but nothing signature. Chelsea informed us that the waffle iron was not working at the moment which was off to me they only had one waffle machine and cut a chunk of the menu options right away. Our table ordered a Loco Moco, Chilaquiles, chicken fried steak, and house pancakes. Drinks were quick and coffee was hot and fresh. Time seemed to have dragged on by the time our plates arrived ( We had three cups of coffee. ) Chelsea was very attentive and reassuring our order was on its way. When our food arrived it was dropped off by one staff member who could only carry 3/4 of the dishes. No biggie but she didn't acknowledge the lack of complete order and left. Pancakes arrived not too long after. These cakes were massive. I was pumped. The syrup is served warm which is great. FOOD QUALITY AND TASTE- the massive pancakes are a dense heavy cake and very sweet. Not fluffy like I envisioned. Too dry to eat on their own but overkill sweet with syrup. Seemed like a waffle dough/batter to me. My co-eater did eat a share as I could barely make a dent. The chilaquiles looked the part but was off in traditional red sauce flavor but not a bad try. The loco Moco comes with a teriyaki gravy poured over the dish and would have preferred it on the side. The sweet/salty flavor was overkill and ruined the dish. The spam was also on the burned side so another intense flavor added to the teriyaki gravy profile. Hard pass. The chicken fried steak was a success as were all the eggs at the table. We didn't linger after completing our meal and walked out of there about 2 hours and $75 later. Chelsea saved the experience for us but an overall opinion of the meal won't make us regulars but worth another try.
