I went to Kid Cashew over the weekend and was delightfully surprised. This east blvd spot has been a hard location for restaurants to stick, but I have a feeling that Kid Cashew is here to stay. Coming from NYC, I had a strict loyalty to Pio Pio because of my love for Peruvian chicken. After trying the chicken from Kid Cashew, it is safe to say I have officially jumped ship. The chicken was tender and juicy. The avocado quinoa chicken salad was to die for. I literally could eat that every day! Although intrigued by the lamb burger and tapas, we kept it pretty low key with the signature dishes that our server recommended.
Which only means, I'll be back to try everything.
Although it was a weirdly warm January night, it's not warm enough to go outside. I cannot wait for the weather to change and check out the outdoor space. This Mediterranean menu seems like the perfect compliment to an outdoor eating fare. I would recommend this place for a casual night with friends, a date, or a great spot to show the family some of the new exciting places Charlotte has to offer.
