  • Okay the quality of the service just went straight to hell today. I felt like I was in the Warden and Hwy 7 branch. It was never this bad before. I was with a party of 8 and we were deciding on what to eat and drink. Looking through the ever confusing cheese cake menu where we were not sure which one was available because the stickers that would've indicated which one was available differed between menus we finally ended up choosing four possible choices taking into account one had a different availability than the other. To our luck none of the choices we made was even available. Coming in we knew there was a minimum charge per person. Because of the difficulty with having none of the cheesecake choices being available one of my friends can't really make a decision on what to get. So he was fumbling around trying to decide and the waitress had the gall to say there was a minimum charge per person. C'mon this is already a party of eight where most of us will be ordering anyway. That was just low class Chinese behaviour. The type you'd expect from those hole in the wall Chinese restaurants in New York Chinatown where they will chase after you if you left them a low tip for bad service. Unlike the normal service we normally get the waitress didn't even ask my cousin which type of tea he wanted. Normally they would ask if we want green tea or black tea. Aside from the service my wife and cousin got one of my usual drinks. Hibiscus green tea. The only difference was my cousin ordered large with tapioca. What came out was my cousins drink tasted differently but not sweet with the tapioca instead it tasted lemony sour. Not only that they had about three petals of the hibiscus on my cousins drink which is much less than what we normally get at Warden and Steeles branch or even in my previous trips here. My wife didn't even get any hibiscus flowers on her drink. It's like wtf. No consistency and bad service today totally. Even my ginger black tea didn't have much ginger chunks to munch on like they do in Warden and Steeles. Saving grace was my friend ordered the key lime cheesecake which was surprisingly good and not too sour for a key lime cheesecake. The fruit tea was good according to my other friend and I can concur visually. In the end I was really dissatisfied with the service. A discount won't really prevent me from writing this review. If it was me who was paying the bill there would be barely any tip today if any. I am just really frustrated at the service and drink quality today. I don't think I ever had issues like this with the Warden and Steeles branch. I may try to come here again just for convenience sake but if it ends up this bad again I will just Go for Tea when I am in this plaza.
