  • My husband booked this hotel for our one night stay passing through Montreal. We got in around 4pm, checked right in. The concierge seemed annoyed that I didn't know where the main lobby was (but to be honest, didn't see a sign anywhere, so, make some bigger signs maybe?). The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and nice. Two people on the desk and no line. The girl enrolled me in the members program and gave me a 2pm checkout for the next day, which was helpful, because we only had 1 day to spend in Montreal and didn't want to schlep our stuff down to the car. As far as rooms go, it was ginormous. We usually get tiny closets when we book hotels on Travelocity, like we're being punished for using a discount program. But this was great. Bathroom was huge. Shower was lovely. It would have been nice if the tub was deeper/larger like the one we had in our little hotel in Quebec City. We enjoyed the stay very much. My husband self-parked, and he said he had to park in the third circle of hell, all the way down the bottom, like P-12 or something. And when he came up, he wasn't sure where the hotel was. Again, signage not really obvious, so he exited the building and came around the front. I have to say that the bellhop (is that a term people use anymore) named Mark was the best part of our stay. He was outstanding, kind, chatty but not fake about it (I worked in tourism for years so I know when people are just yakking at me). Mark had great recommendations for dinner in Chinatown, and was just the most genuinely nice, pleasant person ever. I hope that the hotel reads this review and commends Mark on his skills. We are big fans. Excellent walk to Old Town and the Cathedral. We had gorgeous weather, and covered a lot of territory there. Didn't get to try the Absinthe bar, but took some pretty pictures there. All told - we'll probably go back and stay here, and I hope we get the same kind of room. This was great.
