| - I spent nearly seven years in China, so moving back here made me wonder if I had to give up my love of authentic Asian cuisine. Grand Asia Market is close by, affordable, and carries pretty much everything I would need to cook real Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, etc. food. I highly recommend this store to anybody with experience living in Asia, or anyone who is looking to expand their palate to new delicacies. The smells might not be what you expect from an American supermarket, but if you want the authentic ingredients, you will learn to deal with it. Check them out; I guarantee you'll find something new and exotic. They also have a pretty good Chinese restaurant inside the supermarket, in case you're looking for a quick meal, and it's always busy, so that's a good sign. Finally, you will notice that fresh herbs, things like lemongrass (which can range from $2.50-$5 at other grocery stores), and everyday vegetables like Chinese cabbage (Napa cabbage) are far cheaper here. Enjoy!
